Brr. It’s cold here in Vienna, VA. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know. You folks out in the midwest and other parts even colder think we’re total wusses out here. But hey, look at it this way. Average temps in the area for January usually go to about 43. So cut us a break will ya? For our part, we’ll try very hard not to giggle at your complaints when you think 80 is hot in the summer.
All of which is to say that despite the weather, we shall be singing tonight.
So if you’re a singer and wondering what’s up, rehearsal is on! (We checked – Holy Comforter is open.) If you’re an audience member who’s wanted to check out our open rehearsal for Lullabies, come on down. We’ll be happy to see you! Do be sure to bundle up – even though it’s not a long walk from the parking lot to the church. And come a few minutes early so we can set you up with a voice placement.
By the way, if you’re wondering about the title of this post, it’s from a piece we sang in March 2013. It’s from Henry Mollicone’s hilarious “National Weather Forecast” – where the weather is wintry awfulness everywhere. Except of course, in California, where it’s always “sunny and mild.”
