So, this isn’t necessarily about the holidays, but we had to highlight this really fun flashmob of Beethoven’s “Ode To Joy.”
Although, for the holidays, very little beats this flashmob of the “Hallelujah” chorus from Handel’s Messiah. As Mary Katherine Morn of UUCF has put it, it’s the perfect setting for a moment of joy – holiday shoppers at a food court eating things that are probably not great for them and looking a bit worn out from the shopping. Hard to know what the best part of this one is. Bafflement leading to “Really? They’re really doing this? Mall security’s not gonna have a snit-fit?” writ large on their faces to everyone joining in, and finally, everyone raising their hands as if they were at a formal performance, rather than the food court at a mall. What’s not to love?
Enjoy, The Silent Monks.
