Two weeks to kicking off a great season and we are BURSTING with news.
As you know, we hold one concert for a cause every season. In the past we’ve sung to highlight science education, food insecurity, and mental health awareness.
This season our concert for a cause is going to be Someone To Watch Over Me: Everyday Heroes, in support of people who step up and put their lives on the line for the rest of us. Some in uniform, many not, every single day, very often unsung.
Fittingly, VCS will highlight and partner with three major organizations for this concert.
We’re delighted to inform you that two of our partners will be none other than Vienna’s finest – the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department and the Vienna Police Department.
Our third partner will be the 2015 World Police & Fire Games, which will feature 12,000 first responders from 70 countries competing in 61 sports over 10 days in 53 venues throughout Fairfax County and the National Capital Region. The Games are the largest multi-sport event in the world for public safety officials. Most events will take place in Fairfax County and will be free to attend.
Do you have our dates in your calendar yet? You can get them all on our website calendar.
Coming up right away is our Summer Vocal Workshop. We still have tickets left, and welcome all voices and skill levels. Don’t wait too long to book Masterclass spots though, those are going fast.
