Younger audiences are welcome at all of our concerts. But we intentionally program at least one family-friendly concert each season. Here’s why: You have to be comfortable with the arts to appreciate them. We want everyone to feel like they belong when they come to VCS, and we want the art to be hospitable.

One of them is a ballerina, who danced at our May 2016 production of Carmina Burana
For younger audiences especially, if it’s engaging for them, perhaps their families will consider the pricier Kennedy Centers of the world. That’s right, consider VCS your home and gateway to the arts, anywhere. And we’re delighted when you come back again and again. So bring the young ‘uns, wiggles and all. Because the music shouldn’t just be for them some day. It should be for them now.
With that in mind, we’re delighted to partner with the Louise Archer Elementary School choir next month. The kids are rehearsing their part of the repertoire under the tutelage of Mr. Sean Cator. It is going to be great to have their voices join ours. I hope you’ll join us too!
Tickets are on sale now — get them through your friends at the choir or online at https://grandnightvcs.eventbrite.com
Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors (60+) and students (15 – 18). Youth 14 and younger attend for FREE when accompanied by a paying ticket holder.

Dancing at a VCS concert, because she can.
