Everyone say hi to one of our new writers, SingerGal!

No, that’s not her name. Yes, she really does sing with us. Yes, you’ve probably seen her sing with us several times. Yes, she’s private. No, that doesn’t keep her from having many many things to say. No, this isn’t some marketing ploy – we’re not going to tell you who she is per her request. Although, does it matter? She’s got fun things to share (see that bit about the “many many things….”).

So without further ado, we start off on the whole choir on film thing. Which, if you haven’t been paying attention, is a thing.

When I first saw previews for the movie Pitch Perfect, I was so excited. I sang in an a cappella group in high school, and those choir memories are some of my best memories from growing up, so I just had to see Pitch Perfect when it came out. Aca-duh!

It was fabulous. I loved it. And now I’m a bit obsessed with it, have watched it more than I care to admit, and have managed to teach myself the “cups” song that Anna Kendrick’s character does when she auditions for the Barden Bellas.
