In less than two weeks (4:30 pm, Saturday, December 19, 2015), we’ll sing Harmony and Light: A Jazz-Inspired Christmas.
In artistic director, Jennifer Rodgers’ own words:
This concert was inspired by those experiences when the sound and the sense in the room are bigger than the room itself. Where the warmth or the silence, the importance or the sacredness of the moment seem to push outward on the brick and the wood. Where everyone’s definition of “holy” has a place, and we feel both bound together and full of our own hopes and thoughts.
It’s going to be a great show, with a jazz combo (piano, sax, guitar, and drums), and some lovely pieces by Ola Gjeilo, Darmon Meader, and more. Again, in Rodgers’ words, “a combination of unexpected, ear-bending and heart-warming harmonies to describe the Christmas season.”
Tickets are available — get them now and you won’t have to wait in line on show night!
Also, we’re delighted to be back at the Meadowlark Botanical Garden’s Winter Walk Of Lights. We’ll be there one evening only, so mark your calendar!
Tuesday, December 15, 2015, 7:15 pm, The Atrium.
And yes, in case you’re wondering, you should come to see us at Meadowlark AND on show night! Because we’ll have a great show each time.
Tickets are available online at http://nvrpa.ticketfly.com. (Use the promo code HOLIDAY15 to get $1 off each ticket, Monday-Thursday, non-holidays.) You can also get tickets at the door. Be sure to head to main entrance and head to The Atrium from there. After that, walk the lights, and perhaps get a marshmallow or two (or three) and toast them over the fire in the commons.
It’s going to be a great week. Please join us!
