What helps you get into the spirit this time of year? Reflecting on the season? Tinsel in every corner? Bright lights in a window at dusk? Infectiously fun holiday tunes? We have a little bit of everything coming up.
Please join us for SOUNDS OF THE SEASON: WONDER – 7:30 pm, Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Providence Presbyterian Church (9019 Little River Turnpike, Fairfax, VA) – where the ambience and acoustics are beautiful. You don’t want to miss it!
The centerpiece of the evening will be Sarah Quartel’s Snow Angel, a moving masterwork that embodies the childlike wonder, joy, and mystery that marks this time of year for many. Because we are, after all, the Vienna Choral Society, we’re including pieces that are unexpected, including a hilarious Musicological journey through the iconic twelve days of Christmas, and Sparklejollytwinklejingley from the hit Broadway show Elf!
We’re looking forward to sharing the stage with the West Springfield High School Madrigals, directed by Dustin Brandt. Also joining us will be youth musicians – the best of their class – on cello, and more.
Tickets are $25/adults, $20/seniors (65+) and students (15-18). Youth aged 14 and younger attend for free when accompanied by a ticket-holding patron. Families and young children are welcome.
Tickets are available online at vcs2018wonder.eventbrite.com, and as always, we accept cash and checks at the door. The box office opens at 7:00 pm, and doors open at 7:15 pm.
A beautiful venue, and lovely music to fill the room. Please join us!
