December walks a fine line between so much and too much, especially when sparkly lights and tinsel are determined to meet oh-so-familiar music at every turn, for weeks on end.
And then it happens.
In the middle of it all you hear a fresh arrangement of a much loved carol or an upbeat a capella rendition of a classic hymn. Suddenly, you’re not only surprised, you’re reminded of how much there is to love about snow and candle light – and yes, jingle bells and sleighs – this time of year.
Join us for an evening of surprises and renewed joy! We sing SOUNDS OF THE SEASON 2019, 7:30 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Providence Presbyterian Church (9019 Little River Turnpike, Fairfax, VA 22031). Listen to how familiar titles like Gloria, Eight Days of Light, and Noel still retain the power to make us stop in our tracks – and rediscover, amid all the bustle, the beauty and peace of the season.
We can only imagine how much “more” the evening is going to be when the Monumental Brass Quintet and the Robinson Secondary School Singers take the stage with us. It’s going to be a wonderful evening.
Tickets are on sale online until 11:55 pm, Friday, December 13, 2019. They will be available on show night at the door – box office opens at 6:45 pm, doors open at 7:15 pm.
