Thank you so much to our friends, family, and supporters for making our Friends of VCS a smashing success! Your generosity is what allows us to make great music, foster the next generation of musicians, and build a larger community of arts lovers. With that, we dive into final prep for our first concert of the season.
We sing AMERICAN QUILT, 7:30 pm, Saturday, October 19 at Providence Presbyterian Church (9019 Little River Turnpike, Fairfax, VA 22031).
From the poignant “Will The Circle Be Unbroken” and “He’s Gone Away” to the uplifting rise and fall and rise again of “The Boatsman’s Song” and “Simple Gifts,” this is a concert of shared American musical heritage where anyone can simply wait for an opening, and step into the common square of song.
We’re delighted to share the stage with special guests from James Madison High School’s Chorus (dir. Claire Rowan) and Orchestra (dir. Erin Eberly). These are amazing, already highly skilled musicians led by some of the finest music educators in these parts. We can’t wait to sing with them, and for you.
So come and hold your breath with a room full of people. And fall right into music that’s been there all long and waiting to be rediscovered. Join us!
Tickets are $25/adults, $20/seniors and students (15-18).
We also have season tickets available at $85/adults and $75/seniors and students.

We’ll also have them at the door on concert night.

Look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks!
